Esperas (a collaboration between Mama Kivu, Mothers for Mothers, and Make Mothers Matter) brings the voices of women from different parts of the world to Belgium. Women are often portrayed solely as victims in a conflict. However, in societies divided by hatred or violence, you can just as often find women who refuse to give up hope and fight for reconciliation and peace. Esperas aims to amplify these voices in Belgium.
Vranckx and Esperas are looking for documentary makers to tell a story about the "Zij-Lijn" (the women's side) of a conflict, where women do not accept a role as victims but instead work towards solutions.
Through the project No Man's Land, Esperas, Vranckx & de Nomaden, and Het Peloton offer support to three makers with three stories.
Blue has developed the logo and graphic style for Esperas, as well as a derivative visual identity for the No Man's Land project.
